New Member to GCM Crew

       Many of you might know our newest employee that has joined our team at GCM, Ian Lee. Ian has spent the last few years working as a seasonal employee in the pro shop with Roger. An opening came up on our crew, and Ian accepted the new challenge and will be the new Irrigation Technician. The full time position is responsible for all upkeep on entire facility irrigation repair and maintenance while also managing small crews and lending a hand whenever needed. All of us are excited to have Ian join our team and look forward to the upcoming season.

      As for the course, we have been busy removing snow off certain greens while hand watering other greens that have been exposed to the elements of mother nature. There was some ice accumulation on a few select greens, but has since been removed to discourage any damage to the turf. The extended forecast is much warmer and drier than normal, which might force us to charge up the irrigation system and get water out on the course.

    We will keep you posted on the next few days as we remain on the course trying to stay on top of the hand watering of greens and tees.
