High Winds and Rising River

As most of you know, we have finally hit high temperatures the last couple of days, but with that has come strong winds. These two factors put together rapidly dry out the course, forcing us to hand water more than usual in the afternoon. On top of that, our irrigation pumps have had mechanical problems as well, resulting in no water being applied at night. So with the high temperatures, strong winds, and no nightime irrigation, it has made for some long afternoons. If you see sprinklers on I swear we are not trying to get anyone wet, but trying to irrigate the course while avoiding golfers.

A quick update on the river, a new record has been set and the river continues to rise. The burms and sandbags are holding up, but many local homeowners are being affected by the rising groundwater. All of the town bridges are still in place, but water is starting to threaten a select few. Hopefully for the town 's sake, colder temperature's will slow down the snow runoff. Pictures will be posted in the near future.
